Ive enjoyed my 2002 Landcruiser tremendously. Ive had it since August and I have about 24000 miles. It handles very well and the ride is very smooth. Every where I go people are always complementing me and asking me if I would recommend it. By the time Im finished they are asking me for the dealership and salesperson that I dealt with. So far it has met my expectations. I will buy another one.

  • Love it, and Navigators cant follow. - 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser

I live at 7,200 feet elevation and going up and coming down a 18% snow covered dirt road is a cake walk with 4- low. The engine braking system lets me coast down with complete ease. The rear DVD system with wireless headphones keeps my kids quiet, and the navigation system can find the smallest dirt road. I travel in quiet Toyota comfort and quality, but can go where Escalades and Navigators can not.

  • The King of Sport Utilities - 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser

Forget about the hype from other manufacturers who claim to be the best, the original, professional grade, etc. The Toyota Landcruiser is the best built, most durable, full- size sport utility vehicle on the planet. It is sold on every continent because it can handle anything you throw at it. How does your unibody Cayenne/ML/X5 hold up to the rigors of Afghanistan? Thought so. The LC is great off road, rides very well on road, and the 320 ft. lbs. of torque is plenty. (Dont buy into the horsepower hype, people -- its torque that you want.) If you want a sports car, buy a 911 or a Corvette, not a SUV wannabe. Buy the Landcruiser, and with the money you save, get a used Boxster!

  • THE BEST SUV EVER MADE - 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser
    By -

Hi all, just wanted to voice my opinion. I just purchased a 2002 Landcruiser, this after owning a 2001 Landrover...enough said! Prior to my owning a Landrover I had a Landcruiser for several years. I can honestly say, a Landrover DOES live up to its reputation of being an un-reliable car that falls apart! Also they depreciate like CRAZYYY!!! I appreciate having my LC every day, as I know it will NEVER fail me, sure it does not have that fancy Rover symbol, but that is not nessary as the LC is a legend.

  • Better than expected - 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser

Although the fuel economy leaves much to be desired. The overall quality of the Land Crusier is better than my Mercedes ML and my previous 500 SEL. The truck is very solid and responsive and goes like a donkey while off road. I would recommend this truck to both the luxury buyer and also one to have fun with. The best SUV that I test drove, and I test drove most of them.

My second LC, replacing a 2001 X5. Impressed with interior comfort, especially seats. Smooth ride, ample power/acceleration. Complicated Nav system but integrated with Audio quite well. Quite glad to be back with the Land Cruiser brand. Definite bummer is the fuel consumption (not a surprise). Also, Toyota dealer a breeze to work with and quite an improvement over the BMW dealership I dealt with.

Just purchased one after 15 years of waiting. Worth the wait. Drove a Yukon before this and the only thing the Yukon was better at was interior space. Fit and finish are excellent. Engine, while not the most potent, has enough torque for smooth merging and lane changes. No regrets

This is my first 4x4 i have had a lot of fun driving it up and down 100 meter high sand dunes in the UAE then going out of the sand and inflate the tyres and drive at 100 MPH for hours, and few cars can do what the Land Cruiser can, in the year i had no problems what so ever with it i use it for short journeys to work and long journeys on the weekend breaks with the family. its simple you can go anywhere you want to go.

  • Great SUV- Beware of 18 in. wheels - 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser
    By -

All around a great SUV , my daughter loves the dvd feature. The GPS works great in the lower 48 but not in Alaska (im hoping some new software will include Alaska). Comfortable ride. Nice on screen controls for climate, audio, etc. Beware of the 18inch wheels if you live in a snow climate. There are no snow tires(blizzak, etc.) or even all season tires to fit these wheels!!! They come with high performance tires that are not good for cold climates!! Alt. wheels only avilable from toyota and they are very expensive!!
